Leave M6 jct 38, signposted A685 for Brough and Kirkby Stephen. At the end of slip road is a roundabout. Take the first exit north along the B6260 through Old Tebay. Follow this road for 2 miles to Orton. Just before the 30mph sign turn right into the gated drive to Orton Hall, with ample parking to the front. Nearest railway stations are Penrith and Oxenholme. Buses run from Kendal and Penrith.
